About Rebecca Rotondo, LCSW, C-DBT

Rebecca Rotondo (she/her), LCSW, C-DBT is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Marist College and her Master's degree from UCONN School of Social Work. She has been providing individual, couples, family and group therapy in a warm, non-judgmental style since 2016. Using a client-centered and strengths-based approach, Rebecca supports adolescents and adults navigating life transitions, identity issues, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, trauma and co-occurring substance use conces. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based practices, tailoring her approach to the unique developmental and emotional needs of each client.

Rebecca is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She specializes in supporting clients who experience chronic suicidal ideation, self-harm, mood disorders, trauma and Borderline Personality Disorder, facilitating our Adult DBT Skills Group. She is also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CT) for brief, but highly effective PTS treatment. In addition to traditional therapeutic modalities, Rebecca often incorporates a holistic approach to counseling that honors the interconnectedness of the mind, body and soul. Her integrative approach includes interventions such as mindfulness and relaxation exercises, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/tapping), expressive arts, sound healing, and incorporating clients' personal and spiritual beliefs as desired. She is also a first degree Usui Reiki practitioner.

As a queer, neurodiverse, anti-racist clinician, Rebecca is deeply committed to affirming and inclusive care for marginalized communities. She has a particular passion for working with LGBTQIA2S+ folx and their families. Her work is grounded in an understanding of intersectionality, systemic oppression, and the impact of discrimination on mental health. She strives to create a safe, collaborative space where clients of all identities, backgrounds and belief systems feel seen, respected and empowered.

Rebecca also provides sex-positive, judgment-free counseling for individuals across all sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship structures, including those practicing polyamory and kink. She enjoys helping clients strengthen communication, establish consensual boundaries, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
